Summary Valefor is a tiefling wizard of as yet unknown affiliation. As is the common of his kind, he travels in the guise of a normal human male. His pride prevents him from disguising every aspect of his infernal heritage, yet he is not foolish—his true ancestry is hidden enough that only those already suspecting could discover his secret. He is well versed in arcane knowledge and damaging spells. Unlike most wizards, he is fascinated by ritual magic that most contemporaries disparage due to the ability for anyone to use and its time-consuming nature. He is currently in gnomish lands for unknown reasons, having helped arrange a peace between them and a group of raiding kobolds by using the natural awe of kobolds for anything draconic, in this case two dragonborn followers of Bahamut, Aero Miri and Khain. Despite his natural dislike of followers of Bahamut, he is thinking of traveling with them so long as his disguise remains intact. They are particularly tough, and, in his mind, not particularly clever. He was, however, almost discovered when the gnomes, in gratitude, offered the party their choice of a variety of magic items, including the Lens of Discernment. Valefor hurriedly snatched them up and claimed them as his reward, and as yet is seen as merely human by the rest of the party.
Appearance and Mannerisms Valefor’s undisguised form is not yet known to the party or anyone in the surrounding area. He appears to be a 6’0’’ human male of approximately 160 lbs. with a dark, ruddy complexion. He has dark, swept back hair, a Mephistophilian type goatee, and a pleasant, if slightly predatory, smile. When spoken to he is polite and well-mannered, verging on flirty if the company is right, said company being right if it is moving and female. He does not wear robes, but comfortable, well-kept travel gear.
